Flies come with the hot summer. After lunch I was urged to help brother clean the rails removed from the outside windows. They will be fixed in place as before after being painted. At home mother was busy hanging curtains at the doors of her bedroom and the middle room to keep flies out. I talked about my difficulty in teaching with brother when we worked together. I mentioned to him more and more students are reluctant to study and disobedient to instructions. Later in the evening I watched a story about a volunteer's teaching at a remote area. The children there were poor but simple and enthusiastic about study. Then I could not help bursting out：Chinese people are lovely when living below the poverty line. Once they get enough food, they are likely to degrade.
