Three decades ago on July 7, 8, 9, 1984 I took part in the College Entrance Examination after finishing a two-year study in a high school in our town. The examination hall was at our county town. The day before the exam father accompanied me to the city. First we had planned to spend the first night in a vacant room in the home of one of father's female colleagues. But the loud and continuous talking of a few people from a neighboring room cut short my stay there. Father escorted me to the hotel where his colleagues put up and found me a bed. Then he went back to the disturbed room. I was fully awake the whole night. So we decided to pass the following two nights at home.
