Just before school was over a clap of thunder broke suddenly outside. In the meantime dark clouds could be seen gathering in the sky. It seemed that the showers forecast would fall soon. Ms Xiao rushed home by e-scooter at once. For the last three days I had been leaving school with the students due to the rainy weather. Today I felt embarrassed to be off duty ahead of time again. So I sat unmoved at my desk. After a while a shower came down with the sun shining through the clouds. Ms Xiao might be still on her way. It lasted for a few minutes. Before long another few showers followed. I waited until the clouds dispersed and the sun appeared. Luckily I didn't make a hasty retreat this time as on Monday when I was caught in a heavy shower halfway home.

Reply sunnyv 2014-6-13 16:41: Few days ago, When I got off the public transport at 9 pm, it started raining heavily. Normally, the rain would stop after a while, who I took shelter at the shop front. I waited for 45 minutes, the rain never stopped. There was not even a minute break so that I can dash across the road towards the covered walkway. Eventually, I decided not to wait and dashed across the road towards the covered walkway which leads to my home. Shoes and trousers all wet but I used a plastic bag to shelter from the downpour so my topside was still dry. Back home, took a warm bath and went to bed. The rain does make us realize how good it is when the weather is good.
