Last night my bedroom was so stuffy that I reopened the windows of the balconies before retiring. The windows were left open the whole night for it was windless and without rain. Our apartment is on the third floor so there's almost no possibility of burglars' invasion through the windows during my sleep. But it is different for our bungalow in which mother lives alone. Every evening before leaving mother's I always closed and bolted the opened windows and locked the doors to ensure the security. As this evening was hot I told mother to stay up for some time keeping the bedroom window and the house door open as well. In order to prevent burglary, brother installed iron railings outside the windows of his house bordering a lane at the back. Then he can leave them open on hot summer nights without worrying about safety.
