Fermented soya beans

First elder sister introduced to us a specific kind of food in their locality, which is named fermented soya beans, a tasty homely dish. She told us in detail of the making materials, methods and process. Mother had an impulse to have a try, which aroused keen opposition of me for I was reminded of her failure in making the same food years ago. I wished her not to waste any more materials over it. But she is so stubborn as to ignore my discouragement. This morning I bought half a watermelon for mother to carry out her plan. She had every other thing prepared beforehand—salt, soya beans and pieces of steamed bread.

So you are benefiting from it actually. At last, I recalled I have watched the dish which uses the watermelon in A Bite of China, and it seems about the fermentation and soybeans. Maybe your Mather is doing it, and if so, it seems to need to wait for many days. I'm curious the production extremely.
