Sagebrush and other wild plants have grown up for cutting down and spreading to dry. Mother has chopped down a lot of them near our home and bound them in bundles. I found a large patch of them flourishing in a plot of waste land lying midway between our town and school. Every time I passed there I had an intention to remove them to our home. But this is too fantastic for it is far away from my home. The hard problem that confronts me is the transportation. I must carry the plants back soon after cutting down. Otherwise they may be taken away by the villagers nearby. Even if they were brought home, there would be no place to deposit. So I just cast envious glances at the plants when passing.
