Outside in the clear night sky the nearly full moon is shining with sparse stars twinkling. At dusk son told me over the phone that he will come back tomorrow morning for Mid-Autumn Festival.  Mother has made satisfying steamed bread stuffed with dates for son. We have no idea to buy moon cakes. We would rather cook wheaten food ourselves than purchase it ready-made. I'm at ease for I can be exempt from any labor. And I can enjoy the peace at home with son and mother without any intruders. It's time to collect the dates in my native village. Then they will be dried in the sun for a better store.
