Nephew’s wedding is to be held tomorrow in the Hongfu Hotel. Since the date of the wedding was fixed after the engagement ceremony, brother and sister-in-law have been busy preparing for the joyous occasion. I happened to stay at home today. So I went to brother’s early this morning lending a hand. I saw it was clean and tidy from the gate to the yard. All the walls in the front porch and the spacious shed have been whitewashed. The bridal chamber has been well furnished with red characters of Double Happiness plastered on its window panes. I helped with hanging some colored flags in the narrow yard and the passage and erecting others outside the gate along the street. Tomorrow morning I’ll go there hanging some balloons in front of the gate on the arched reinforcing bar.
