The harvest season has set in. But only a small proportion of crops have either been cut down manually or got in mechanically. The local farmers seem so leisurely and carefree to me. Although the corncobs have been hanging upside down on the stalks, their owners do not come for harvesting. In addition, no one is on his guard against thieves. Because the main crop combine   are ripe once a year, one month is sufficient for the farmers to sow and harvest. So they can do other things or rest in another eleven months. Nevertheless, Mr. Shao, ten years my junior, should have declared not to help his father with the tiring harvesting in the coming autumn vacation. He suggested his father to hire some farmhands, who are paid by his father instead of himself. He said he would enjoy the holiday by taking a good rest or going sight–seeing somewhere. I strongly disapprove of his way to deal with the matter.
