The snapped chain

Hot 2616 views. 2014-10-17 00:00 | yesterday, suddenly, morning, period, before

The day before yesterday one of the links in the chain that drives the wheels of my tricycle snapped suddenly on my way back. The next day I went to the bike repairer having the two ends joined up. But the joints got loose halfway and broke and I had to go to school on foot in a hurry conducting the second period in time. This morning I made a second visit to the repairer who finished the connection in the twinkling of an eye as last time. I couldn’t help doubting about his job again when the chain clattered to the ground several minute after I left his stall. Then I returned to him and suggested the man to use old links instead of new ones which had proved a failure. Although it cost him much time, the efforts were worthwhile for the chain could function at last.

How annoying. You must never want to see the repairer again.
