I’ve been absent here for nine days for I was busy recently. During this period, I never turned on my computer because when I returned from mother’s it had been too late. I would retire for the night after cleaning myself up. Now I take down what happened these days in the sequence of events.

Oct. 17  Transported the wood back by brother’s lorry from school for fear of theft.

Oct. 18－Oct.19  Helped brother to stack up the corn stalks.  Changed the chain of the tricycle for it snapped five times within a week.

Oct. 20  The bicycle pump failed to blow up the flat tyre of the bike with wheels which are 26 inches in diameter.

Oct. 21  Our headmaster offered me a job to move the coal inside the shed and in return I was paid ¥100.  

Oct. 24  Vice－principal arranged for me to buy a bag of cement and carry it to school.
