The coal given by brother has proved very good. At first both mother and I didn’t think it would burn better. Compared with the egg－sized lumps of coal we just ran out of, these coal blocks are large, hard and heavy like stones. Yesterday evening with great difficulty I broke a few blocks into pieces for lighting the stove. We found this coal burnt longer and gave off no less heat. Moreover, early this morning mother saw all the coals in the stove had turned into ashes completely without leaving any hard lump remains as we formerly anticipated. This evening the coal burned well too. This coal is really of high qualities.
