Clear the snow from the shed roof

This morning as I had nearly removed all the snow heaps from the terrace in front of our house, the thick snow on the northern half of the shed roof caught my eye. I decided I must clear it at once because its melting would leave the pavement under the eaves wet and slippery. I had done such clearing once with a hoe. But now I had to make a simple tool to replace it for it had been put away in a hard－to－find place. It just consists of a shaft and a board with the shape of T for raking the snow down. I stood on a chair and a short ladder alternatively for reaching the ridge. Then I swept away the left snow with a lengthened broom.

- It never snows in my city, so I won't know what that is. In fact, now the temperature here is 22*C. The sun is warm and bright. I only need to wear a long sleeves T-Shirt, so just imagine the difference in these two places.
Actually, housework takes a lot of our time. I have already designed my home to be minimal cleaning, but still there is a lot of work. In fact, most of the time goes to preparing my meals. I would have to see how to save more time.
