Translation is not an easy job.

I've been studying it for almost a year now, and i have to admit my progress can be counted as baby steps. This one year has saw some improvement in my english-Chinese translation skills, but when i try to render Chinese articles into English, the same problems are still in the way. My inefficiency in English has cost me more hours in figuring out the proper wording. Sometimes, i even find the original Chinese hard to understand, let alone put it into a foreign language.
What should i do?

Any specialised job is not easy. Translation is a specialised trade. However, there are different levels of skills in translation. You do not have to be the best. Some commerical translations are not so demanding. You would also improve after you work a few years. Have confidence.

Don't try to make direct translation if you meet some difficult sentences, you may try to translate them in indirect way as long as you make us understand what you wanna express.
