Are we that desperate for success? We'd let competitor get fired?

Maybe all of us had this experience that colleague leave from the company, whatever the reasons, we will feel sad, but sometimes there is just one opportunity between you and your competitor, what is your choice, maybe you work hard and there is no one had over time than yours more, or you got big benifit for company and hit the target, all of this make you success, but we don't hope other people leave. Do you think so?

- Colleagues leaving can either be sad or happy. Normally, when a colleague who has worked with us for sometime and established friendship and mutual help. We would be sad and makes us think about ourselves and our future with the company.
However, there are times when some agitating and troublesome colleagues leave the company and we are happy to see them go. Everyone has their own attitude and we just hope that they can get along with us.
I have noticed that quite a lot of our friends just leave one unhappy job to another unhappy job, so it is better to consider carefully before changing jobs. Of course, some of them get better jobs which we would envy.
Nevertheless, we have to think before making major moves as it could upset our life.
