Maybe you will be moved if one friend said:"My friend got stood up, so please don't make things worse",  Generally speaking,  you don't want to other people know that, but your friend want to do something to make you feel better.  When you used to have a romantic date and realize it will be end, How upset you are. If a man walks to you and say:"you are pretty and have a good body", that is actually kind of nice to hear, because this is too hard to believe, but you got stood up, and it is kind of makes you feel good.
