In resent years, the number of cars has grown very fast and has caused a lot of problems. Car paking is one of them. In order to decrease the number of cars in the inner cities, some people think government should build large car parks around the city centre and have public transport to take people around the inner city. It's a very innovative method in general, but it may also cause new problems.
Large car parks around the city centre would make the inner city parking become limited and very expersive so that people would more willing to park outside the inner city, which would make the traffic jam in the city centre decrease effectivelyly. In addition, less air polution make the envirnment clearer and people would be happier to work and go shopping there.
However, this approach also bring some disadvantages. For most people's cars being parked outside the inner city, the public transport must be strong enough to carry all the people who don't park their cars inside the city centre. In some developing countries, such as China and India, most people who can't afford cars have to take public transport. But in most circumstances, there aren't suffcient buses or trains for so many people. Meanwhile, in the developed countries, like the US and UK, where almost everyone has a car, it's a tough job to provide enough car parks to all of these cars, many details need to be considered.
In conclution, building large car parks is a huge project which need to be carefully considered and managed. It need all of us to work together to balance the relationship among human ,traffic convenience and envirnment.
