Being a president of a country is not an easy job, being a good one is even harder. For the majority of US presidents, during their four-year presidency, they will have to first, learn and work hard to get familiar with the affairs the former president left behind, mostly mess. And then, try to comprehend and make some sense out of it. After that, they'll have to deal with this mess while facing ever emerging challenges they have never faced, and come up with responds and decisions they have never made, sometimes even before they have the time to thoroughly evaluate them. And just when all the pieces starting to fall into place, the four year deadline is right around the corner, and the mess? Leave them to the next president!

　　当总统不是个轻巧活儿，要想当好就更难了。多数的美国总统，在四年任期中，他们需要首先努力知悉上一任总统留下的各项剪不断理还乱的事务。然后，他们需要理解这团乱麻并理出头绪。再然后，他们不但需要拉住这一根根头绪把各项事务处理出来，还需要同时面对他们从未面对过的挑战，应对他们从未应对过的局势，做出他们从未做出过的决策。有时紧迫得甚至都来不及让他们好好分析。当这一切都即将走上正轨，四年任期却又近在咫尺。剩下的这团乱麻怎么办？当礼物打包送给下一任总统吧！

Again, being a president of a country is not an easy job. It requires experiences and professional knowledge attainable only through years of specialized training. Unfortunately, I've never heard of such thing in any US college as a "President Major", which explained why US presidents often performed inadequately.

　　我再次强调，当总统不是个轻巧活儿。从业者所需要的工作经验和专业知识只能通过多年的专业培训才能获得。可惜，美国没有任何一所像样的大学设有总统专业。这也很好地解释了为什么美国总统总是能力有限，业绩欠佳。
