Just now, I enjoyed a song, Coimg Home, the singer is Stratovarius. They are a band from Finland.
The lyric is as follows:
i wake up in the morning
so far away from home
trying to make it through the day
many miles are between us
i'm sending my love
from this payphone
through the storms we've wandered
many mountains we have climbed
but all the bad times are behind
the road is free - i'm coming home
without you i am like
without you i am like
a ship without its sails
calling the wind to save me
i'd climb the highest mountain
i'd cross the seven seas
just to see you smile again
all the trust that was built along the years
is coming back to stay
i know, just look ahead
the road is free - i'm coming home
with every stem i'm closer to home
when i'm back you won't be alone
soon i'll see the familiar door before my eyes
and you
through the storms we've wandered
many mountains we have climbed
all the bad times are behind
the road is, the road is free, and i'm coming home
Then, I thought my favorite movie: Cold Mountain.
In that movie, Inman" climbed the highest mountain, crossed seas and ate grass & leaves...he suffered a lot, just to come home to see Ada, to stay with her again. To see Ada smile again.
They barely knew each other, but there is steel trust between them, the trust that built when they first met.
Without Ada, Inman like a ship without its sails, he want to go home, to not let Ada alone.
Huge sorrow is that, Inman passed away at the end of the movie, exactly after they met, the other day. Leaving Ada, alone...
I still remember Ada's words, when she has to face tough life alone, she said:
"This time of year there's so much life everywhere.I find you in all of it.As if you were walking towards me.."
"What we have lost will never be returned to us.The heart will not heal. All we can do is make peace with the past and try to learn from it."
The first lyric "i wake up in the morning"
made me thought what Inman said to Ada:" You woke up and your ribs are bruised thinking so hard on sb.what do you call that?"
All the bad times are behind, but, all the good times, also, behind.
I love that movie, I love this song, touch me deeply..
