The recent nuclear crisis in Japan has revived anti-nuclear passions around the world. Given the public pressure, some governments had to shut down some of their nuclear plants or dicided to freeze plans to build new ones.Views on this issure vary from person to person. Yet, the nuclear crisis do reminds us to give due attention to it. To my way of thinking, there should not be more nuclear plants in the world, but it is also no need to shut down the old ones.
When we mention the word "nuclear", a picture which contains a heap of dead bodies may come into our mind instantly. If the Second World War has tought us something, then it should be the dramatic destruction of the nuclear weapons. However, the more and more plans to build new nuclear plants from several countries indicates that the Nagasaki's ordeal hasn't come to its own. Yet, in my opinion, once the nuclear plant comes to exitence, it won't be eliminated forever. In this case, what the government should do is not to enlarge the harm of nuclear weapons so that threaten their competitors but to control and limit the damage of nuclear plants. After all, we should give more priority to the human being's life security than each country's development.
In a nut shell, I believe the best way on construction of nuclear plants is to keep the current number of it so that we can make a balance between protecting ourselves and threatening other countries.
