Hello!
Being here, I haven't listened to much music and today I really missed my favorite American songs. Before I came on the trip I discovered that the ipod I thought broke a year ago (that I hung on to for some reason) actually works. Anyway, as a result it has only old music on it because it hasn't been updated in a year. Well, today I decided to break it out and listen as I worked on lesson plans. I discovered that just like different smells can trigger different memories, so can certain songs. I listened to Jason Mraz and thought about last summer. I listened to The Killers and thought of high school. It was so fun to travel down memory lane. Anyway, on to China stuff (the reason I blog). This morning I played soccer with my family and some of the son's freinds. We played 3 v 3, and it was so much fun. I am so out of shape that when the game ended I could hardly breathe. With all of the walking I do here I would think I'd be better fit, but walking is so much different than running. After that I relaxed, read some of the book I'm reading, skyped, and got ready for a birthday party. One of the girls on the trip is turning 34 on Wednesday, so she had a pizza party this afternoon. It was a lot of fun. I haven't been to a mid day birthday party since I was a child, and the fact that it was a pizza party made it even more reminisence of my childhood. Of course, I came home just in time for dinner and was completely stuffed, but I ate again anyway. One of the cousins in the family, Tina, left today and she gave me this adorable stuffed animal bear. I love it! I am going to drop off a present for her before I leave. Well, got to go. Hugs n Kisses from China to America and Happy Easter!
