Some Memories

763 views. 2012-10-24 20:47

This afternoon I dreamed a reunion of my primary school classmates, again, right again. Last night, I dreamed them. These two boys with whom I spent a period of happy time also appeared in dreams.

One was my desk mate. We sat on the same desk 3 years. Almost every morning he and other classmates went to our home and knocked the door to waken me. Especially in winter, it was only 5am. It seems at that age we did not lack of energy. The most unforgettable morning is in a winter. That day we, five girls and boys, witnessed the beautiful meteor rain. It was a dark and cold morning. We headed to our school which is located on a high ground. We chatted. Suddenly the sky began shining. We screamed, applauded and laughed. The splendid meteors were falling down with glowering light just like our youth which is sparkling too. We were so naïve and cheerful.

My desk mate always amused me. Still we quarreled for more room of the desk. We did not speak to each other but later we got back. We enjoyed that happy time. Then we entered middle school. We were not kids any more. Another summer night we went home with other two girls after school. That night was cool. The sky was starry and shining like our smiling faces. We figured the blueprint of the future and recalled what we had experienced. We promised we would never forget that night as if we had forecast the forgetting. After graduating from middle school he went to a southern city for education. I went on going to high school. We lost all links with each other.

Last year I went home and heard he joined the army. Although we are not acquainting as we were I hope he will be happy and meet a good girl.

Those innocent school days are always sweet and happy. Things and people change as we grow up. Friends move far away to make a living and the relationship cools down. There are not many childhood friends so it is quite depressing to see them distance away from us. Well, that is life and we have to accept reality.
