This June is the 10th anniversary of our graduation from college hence the class reunion held at our home school—Shaanxi Normal University.
It is difficult to depict my feelings when I rode on the red bus which takes passengers from the railway station to our school as usually as it did ten years ago. Those sceneries along the road are strangely familiar as new buildings grow everyday but many significant buildings remain there. The moment I set foot on the campus, a huge surge of excitement overwhelmed me. And I could not hold my emotions when greeted with my old classmates who I had not met in person for ten years. We hugged, cried and laughed like kids. Before the lunch, we had a tour of our campus, only to find that minor changes happened to her, thanks to the present administers. We could easily find our old classroom, dormitory, playground, canteen and even the pub we used to hang out. Through chatting with old classmates, we updated mutual information about our personal life, career achievements. It is amazing to find that the majority are leading a content life.
After the class reunion, I lost in meditation. Why people love to attend reunions like this? I guess all because people need some time to retrospect the lap of life journey they have already completed. Old friends and old classmates are witnesses of our past life. Staying with them, talking about those old days would help us recapture the warmth and happiness of the past and rekindle our passion for the future.
