I took the real-road test of my driver’s license last Saturday. Unfortunately, I failed. I am so thirsty for passing the test in order to prove I am not an idiot in operating machines, but the outcome just came the opposite as if God made a laugh at me. I had been mocked at being too academic to operate anything mechanical, like I had no idea how to change a bulb, how to fix my son’s toy etc. I fought back at these mocks, trying to prove they are wrong about me.

    I had worked very hard on the training, spending almost the whole national holiday on trial driving. 100% confident I was before I signed up for the test. However, it turned out a completely lousy job I had done in the test, in which I made some stupid mistakes hence remorse and guilt devouring my heart the whole weekend. Self-blaming tortured me until I talked with one of my friends who told me that it took her three times to pass the real-road test five years ago but now is a decidedly sophisticated driver. Finally it dawns on me that no matter how hard you tried, sometimes life just wouldn’t go the way you expect. And you have to accept the fact, learn something from your failures, pick up yourself and set off again.
