An email from my classmate in high school

I received a email from one of my classmates in high school, which share me a article that criticized the Chinese policy to western world. The major message passed to me ,is that China didn't get a good reputation from the western world, even though China have donated a surprized figure of both money and material to the disaster happend to foreign countries , compared with the limited money to the Wenchuan earthquake and other devastating tragedy in China.
Although I can not agree all of thing the article tells, but I really can feel that our govenment didn't serve our own people well. At the same time, the officials always make an negative impression on us by the unimaginable waste of monye from our taxers, such as "the scandal of top-price wine from Petrol china". That's the reason why we didn't belive in our goverment.
Nevertheless, we still try our best to work hard and make ourselves strong not to bring trouble to our family.Living a good life , that 's what we can do

- It is a bit unfair to say the present Chinese government did not do well. At least the population in China today is well fed and warm. It is not easy to provide necessities for 1 billion people. China benefitted tremendously from the open door policy and took advantage of western technology for it's own benefit. Compare China to North Korea, you will know the difference. However, China indeed still have major problems like human rights abuse and food safety.
The whole Asia is developing fast, so is China.
