The other day my roommates and I went to the small shops outside school to buy shoe rack. After we bargained with him for a few minutes, we made a deal. The shopkeeper promised to assemble our shoe racks, since we bought three shoe racks and it was not easy to do this job we decided to help him. Then, two black students came to the shopkeeper, giving him 5 yuan. They wanted to buy a bottle of water. What surprised me is the black student spoke Chinese, although not so good but we can understand what he said. The one speaking Chinese looked like a bully, while the other one stood far away since it is none of his business. When the shopkeeper passed the bottle of water to the black student, he grabbed six disposable cups quickly but the shopkeeper spoke loudly and didn't want him to take the cups. Later we got the information from the shopkeeper, he told us they usually behavior like bandits and owe him some money and what's more, they only have two people drinking water but always want six cups for free, which is very unreasonable. In fear that the shopkeeper will charge him for the cups, the student kept on asking the shopkeeper give him the change constantly. The shopkeeper's wife seemed to be afraid that they will cause big problems so she gave the change to them soon and two black students left complacently. The shopkeeper knew well of them, and he said they were poor and he called them Somali pirates. In addition, he was a little angry perhaps he thought his wife could not be so scared. A teacher in our school once told me the majority of black students here are descendants or relatives of African chiefs or somebody. So in my mind, they don't lack money. But what I witnessed that day left a bad impression on me.
