I hurt her

She is my supervisor, who is very kind to me. For the past two year, we coodinate very well in work and in life. Before she worked in Taiwan, but since this April, she work in Shenzhen, in the same office with me. We surprisely find we can get along so well with each other. For the past two monthes, we had a very wonderful life together, like good sisters.
A few days ago, I asked for a long leave for preparing examination. Before i went, she told me thousand of times to come back, I just keep silent.
Today, I wrote a E-mail to her to say i will not come back, tired of life in Shenzhen.
Now, she is very sad, sad.
I hurt her deeply!
I feel so sorry to her, but don't know how to comfort her.

- I have a feeling that you betrayed a true friendship. You should have told her sincerely the real reason for leaving but instead you kept quiet. There is no indication that you treasure this friendship. A friends like this is not easy to find. You may regret it later.

She returned it to me and told not to make such decision quickly, I gave you three month leave to let you havd a second thougt, but anyway, I strongly hope you come back to work with me.
I accepted for the time being. Now i am already in hometown and think carefully, I find myself no any desire to go back. So i told her my decision. She is very very sad, really.
