Angela and Her Father

796 views. 2012-5-31 16:03 |Individual Classification:A great Feeling|

Angela, one of my college friend told me a story about her father and her. l think l will never fogert it.

When she was a Senior Student in High School, her father always pushed her to study hard to face the college entrance examination. But she was infatuated with Korean Dramas at that time(She still like them now). One day, her father and her quarrelled for that. She decided she wouldn't speak to her old fuddy-duddy dad until he gave up. And her father also got very angry with her behaviour.

Angela's family was living in a narrow lane of the suburb, but her schoole was located in the center of the city. She went to school by bike. When she left home for school in the morning, it was still dark; and when she finished her night lessons, it was about 10 PM. The lane had no street lamps.  So before they quarrelled, her father always sent her to the road which was totally enveloped by millions of street lights every morning, and waited her arriving at the entrance of the lane every night.

But that day, they were so angry with each other. She thought she must boost her courage to cycle alone through the dark lane twice a day since then. But next day, when she wheeled her bike entering into the lane with fear, she could hear her father's footsteps after her. Suddenly, she felt so easy. After the night lessons, she went home. She could see her father standing beside the road from afar. When she came closer, he turned around right away, no words. They also had no words at home at that time, but every day, she could felt her fathers' foodsteps, and could see his figure. One week later, they begined to talk, laugh again...

Then,l asked her who gave up first. She said she can't remenber it. And she also said she should understand how much her father loved her even though they had a row.

there is almost always a gap between generations. the ways of parenting could go wrong, but almost all the parents love their kids. it sometimes takes many years for kids to truly understand the annoying nagging love. for some, only when they become parents themselves will they realize how lucky they were as a kid.
