Share Why Holland women feel happy(3)? (MT)

601 views. 2012-1-19 16:25

I found the main difference of Holland females and England’s is Holland women much less concerned with material things.

Debbie, 34 years old, she is a assistant editor in Holland Grazie magazine, she works five days a week, but she tells me: Holland women would rather live in small house and only eat occasionally to instead of full time work.

My all friends said they want to work to live, not live to work. Here is no credit culture, but surely man would like to pay bills, even they are not mind, they accept this education from young.

I ask her whether resents to part-time person? This building likes abandon when every Friday afternoon, she said. If you are a mother, no problem. But if you are an ordinary woman, why you choice part-time work? Not a lot of Holland women like to be called feminists. They won’t long time work, when they graduated from university and found a part- time work, they said that to developed their self, and even they want to write a book.

For me, being a mother is more important than a job, there is no nannies culture.

I have same feeling about her said, I never want to hire a person whose all ambition is sit in a coffee store three hours a day. But Nielsen is disagreement, she is 34 years old and has a 4 old young son, who is as a picture designer in Grazia magazine and work four days a week, she believes part time workers work more concentration than full time works.

We pack the work of five days into four, but surely, for me, being a mother is important than work, there is no nannies culture.

I take a taxi to meet Lisa in Am, she is a young mother, and her apartment is clean: all polished floors, middle 20 country furniture, all toys stored neatly, it is all so different from the homes of my super busy friends who are mothers.

Once time I came back and dinner with a friend who is a newsreader in a TV station, when we returned to her 3 millions home, I sew her hallway was motley, and said, my god, you’ve been burgled! No, she said, and wear off her coat and throwing it on a pile, this is normal.

Lisa,33 years old, and has an 18 months old son, her husband is a chef, full time work. I ask her what she depend to living? She answered: full time housewife, and without any apology, I used to work as a PA, but man hoped his wife stay in home. She said, this life also has pressure of as a good wife and good cook, and even keep home nice.

Would she call herself a feminist? ‘No.’ Do she feel vulnerable?  I used to earn a lot of money, so I know I could again, I am study training to be a beauty therapist , so I will work one day a week, but not full day.

I’m starting to wonder how men in the Netherlands feel. It turns out they don’t go Dutch at all: they tend to pay for everything.

But then I meet a young man heading home at Schipol train station, arms full of tulips. ‘Do you have a girlfriend?’ ‘Yes.’ ‘Does she work full-time?’ ‘Are you kidding? No, it is my job to worship her, to make her happy and fulfilled.’

Maybe the Dutch women have got the right idea, after all

eeeee....happy, what's happy on earth??? surely a so simple and so difficult and so different question to answer. as my view, life is just like a cup of tea, and in large extent, it's just only a cup of tea actually. what i should do is to taste my tea.
