Question of double nationality
Do anyone know about the detail of double nationality? I search some information through Internet. I know it is permitted to have double nationality in UK. My friend is come from the UK, but the nationality of his passport is Nigeria. Which country is he belong to on earth? Maybe he is the citizen of these two country. He told me the reason that his grandfather was come from the Nigeria. But I think the nationality of his passport should be UK not Nigeria. Is he lying to me?

Your friend is a Nigeria Citizen so he has a Nigerian Passport.
If he comes from UK he will have a British passport which will show he is a "British Citizen" near his photo. The cover of the passport is burgundy color.
I think your friend only have a visitor visa also called entry-permit which only let him visit UK for short time. He cannot work or live in the UK.
Many Nigerian people like to boast that they have UK nationality which is often not true. Don't be cheated.

I knew his nationality only from the the hotel's registration form when I visited him. He didn't allow me to see his passport. I bought CD and books of studying Chinese for him before but never return money to me.
