When we mention teacher appreciation banquet, we've to remember our school life. The College Entrance Examination of this year has gone a few months, and the result has come out. Everyone who ever take part in that exam has know where to go. Someone will further to study in the university, someone would has to work. It seems like a different choice, but this is the truth. There is always a long distance between dream and reality. Each of us, however, would go to the teacher appreciation banquet. Cuz maybe it's the last time for us to have a meeting with our teachers.
I don't know what is the kind of your teacher appreciation banquet. Not every group all go to the hotel and has a meal together. Maybe you and I were different. In addtion to that, when I graduate from the high school, our classmates held a party at the beach. We just invited the teacher in charge of our class together , and we ate barbecue. That's a wonderful day I would not forget.
Someone comments that teacher appreciation banquet is not necessary and it'll become a bad custom. Basically, I don't quite agree with the view. I always seem it as an opportunity to thank the teacher who ever helped us or teached us, no matter the final results we received are good or bad. It's a precious memory for us to live in our heart.

- In fact those teacher banquets only take place in China. In other countries, we do not have these type of banquets. Sometimes, we return back to our old school to talk to our former teachers and let them know how we are doing. It is fine to invite teachers for a light meal or like you said, a barbecue at the beach would be nice. There is no need for extravagant banquets. We all appreciate the contribution of our teachers in our heart and mind.

- By no means I believe that this a good activity,cuz I think the best way to express our appreciation to our teachers is to work hard to be someone in the future and see our teachers when they are old enough.they would be proud of you,then.

- I don't know where u come from. But if u were in China, the banquet is a normal tradition. U have to adapt it. China is a feast country. Lots of ppl would like to exchange their views or express their emotions in the banquet. So it's a phenomenon what happen everyday and everywhere.

- As an excellent student in middle school ,i could easily and deeply realize teachers’ care and contribution for me . However ,after i am admitted into the provincial key high school ,i was not out-standing any more . I just can’t raise teacher’s attention ,so i can never acknowledge the sincere relationship between me and the teachers afterwards.

- In my opinon, u should communicate with ur teachers on ur own initiative. Not all the high school teachers are like what u mentioned. Most of them would be nice to students who have difficults whatever a little thing.
