There is a famous fable story that a little girl always thinks her mother likes fish head even when the girl grows up. The story is simple but really gives the mothers and children a  good lesson. We should be clear what kind of love, education we should give to the young generation and how the young people treat their parents. The day before yesterday we had fish for dinner, my mother in law helped the girl pick up the best part of the fish. I believe all parents do this.

That reminded me of my childhood in the country side in 1980s. We were leading a poor life and only had some meat or fish in Mid-Autumn and Spring Festival, so the children were always looking forward to the festival. In the summer time the farmers went fishing in the river and seld the fish in the maket, the fish were very small and very cheap, only 1 RMB for 1000g fish. My mother put a lot of pickles(咸菜）when cooking the fish, it is very salty but we could enjoyed for a longer time. My father ate all the fish heads and left the better part for my brother and me, and my mother never touched the fish. At that time I know why they  did, and later I also picked the fish head.

The life changed a lot, we can have a lot of choices for food. But the younger generation thinks it is very natural to enjoy what the parents do for them and forget what they can do for their parents. Parents never want some return from the kid but we still should tell them love is mutual, pay before demand because the children will grow up, leave the parents and live in the society.
