Lunar Calendar Aug 08 is my birthday, which is not easy to rember due to the changing date on Solar calendar. Every year when it is close to Sep my family members will check the date. People asked me why you use lunar calenar instead of solar, and people cannot remember the date and could miss the birthday wishes.  I was born in countryside 1976, it was a really undeveloped rural area and there is no solar calendar but only lunar calendar,  and there is no need to use solar calendar since all the people are farmers and there is no communicatio with outside. When registering for Kukou and ID card, Aug 08 was used.

It was quite simple and cost saving when celebrating the birthday in my village. My mother always boiled two chicken egg for me in the morning and there is nothing else, I even had no idea of birhday cake or birthday song. Noodles are quite normal food for birthday, the lengh of noodles implies the long life expectation. I learned how to make noodles from my mother, it was a tradional way using the rollin by hand, please see the photos here.
