Surprisingly, it happened, you don't know if it is a lie. You have walked through half of your life journey, you will get the answer, maybe not.
What you must faced now is the two circumstances and its consequence.
If all she said is true, then you'll be happy and your life is meaningful. What you have strived for will get its rewards. Once those tears for her, those days thinking of her, should be of its preciousness. You can say that you are well and grateful. This is not enough, the world is amazing, out of people's imagination, we are lucky.
But what if the other side? Then your life is a thorough failure. It has no meaning, because it is a lie, the so called dreams is a lie, the endeavor is vain, the emotion is ridiculous, you just put all of your energy to fulfill a lie. What a tragedy!

- Have you ever read the poem "The Road Not Taken" written by Robert Frost? Everyone is a traveler, and it's not easy to choose the roads to follow in our life journey. Making decisions are really painful, but it's impossible to travel both paths at the same time. So, don't feel regretful once you have chosen one, even though, you finally found that the road you chosen was full of obstacles. Because you cannot ensure that if you had chosen the road not taken, you would not encounter any obstacles. Just maintain a peace of mind, and never regret for the decisions you have made.
