Because I want to make myself a better writer. Additionally, some of my friends and I are doing creative exercises along with reading interpretations for the summer. We got started a little late, I'll actually be leaving to France in a little over a month.
This prompt comes from creativewritingprompts.com . This website could be a good source for those of you who want to practice writing in English more, but don't really know what to write about. I didn't like the first prompt so I'm doing the second; that is, open up an old photo album, count to a fourteenth photo, and write about that photo. Without further ado, let's go!

An empty beach, pink-tinged clouds reflecting in the water. The colors feel like they would be in place in a motel room, they are soft, muted, it must be late afternoon. Dark-edged waves are receding back; they look like flat shale or the dark v of migrating birds. You can hear them whisper. They seem to reflect to reflect the same sky but the sky changes and the water changes on and on. At the horizon rests a boat, it is flat and out of place, an afterthought. It is slowly returning to port, it was not a fortuitous catch today for the ocean is inundated with jellyfish. The whole atmosphere is serene. If any have trodden here lately the waves have already erased their presence.

Okay it's not a very good start but it is a start! I'm going to try to do these pretty frequently, just for fun. The picture in question was taken during a family trip to Gulf Shores, Alabama four years ago. I completely forgot that I have this photo and I really like it.
