After disappearing for almost one week handling HK tradeshow, finnally available to update my blog and share my recent status.
Honest to say, I could use two opposite words to express this experience"fruitaful but extremely tiring". For the first day, I and another female colleague carried two heavy suitcases with devices, catalogues, some stationeries and display racks inside, and a long roll of posters. We both hailed a taxi to Shenzhen Bay to pass the customs. Considering waste of time personally walking to get across the customs, we took the cross-border minibus directly to HK airport without getting off to check, which saved about RMB50 but for our physical benifit. When we got the exhibition hall, we stuggled to search for our booth among hundreds of exhibitors. It was located at one corner because we booked just 9 square meters' booth. We immediately got started decorating our booth in order to go back to hotel earlier. You can imagain, for us thin girls, it was a tough job to stand on the chair sticking about 3 meters poster. To ensure nice appearance, we had to make it flat carefully. I remembered felt exhausted after returning hotel about 9pm being lack of the mood appreciating the night view of HK staying 52 floors' sea view room.
From Oct-12-15, it was formal for the exhibition. I usually described attending the exhibiton similar to vendors dealing in small business waiting for customers to visit. During the communicating with different customers, really a interesting thing. Some were honest purchaser, some just for visiting.... I came acorss one customer. He never say hi to us. When he stepped into our booth directly asking"how much" then turned away. I was totally surprised and couldn't stop laughing. Actually I didn't mean to make laugh, just seems curious towards different people. Sometimes, when I talked to and negotiated with intentional customers who sincerely got to know our products, I felt quite enjoyable.
In addition, what I felt more menaingful was to attend different modules of seminars concerning global market and sourcing in China. I remembered one theme releted to predictable market about E-books readers, MID and smart phones, which were in our business catagory. From this meeting, I clearly understood future electronic products development. It showed smart phones centered on humanization would grow sharply in future years. Moreover, MID sales would increase with more gradual process. For us E-book market, it might not decrease in short period, but the increasing speed turned out to be more slower. In fact, I didn't take attention to attend such seminars during previous exhibitons, I thought such meetings did help us to forsee our market.
Although from personal horizon's perspection, it was with positive side, for health and diet angle, contast. I never had a nice lunch in the period and had to bring instant noodles which I was so resistant in my daily life. No hot water. I remembered for boiling my noodle, I had to pay HK5 to boil it in the cafe house. It was the reality.
Yesterday when I slept on my own bed, felt so cozy and relaxed. Tomorrow, I was arranged to take clients to visit Guilin. Just one day. So contradictory at first thought.
Hope it will be a nice journey.
