GOD!, Offer Me a Job, pls!

653 views. 2012-5-22 12:06

Since quitting my former job to prepare a pregnancy, I have been staying at home for 6 years. During this period, I had my little girl, and then she went to the pre-school. But I still does not work outside. It is not because I am born lazy. I need a job very much.
My husband and I are both from South China afar. My parents-in-law did take care of my little girl for some time in this city with very mild climate. Of course, that is in my opinion. Two years later, they went back to the hometown with a lot of newly-arisen diseases. Do not doubt that I ever mistreated them any. They are very diligent person, and once they were away from the field work but much nice food everyday, firstly they gained weight and diseases come. Like many other old man from the county, my father-in-law is very afraid of living this world in a place other than his own home, he would like to go home. My mother-in-law suggested that she would stay to help us, but I thanked her kind offer. They are very nice couple, and never got apart since their 40 years of marriage. I hate to be a self one.
At present, I pick up my little girl from preschool at about 4:30 every day from Monday to Friday, and take care of her at weekend, holidays and also the days when she got sick. I never had the courage to send out any job applications. I need a full-time job, but will it be available for a mother like me. I also thought of running a small shop of my own, but I do not know what to sell in this status of economic depression. There must be thousands of mothers like me in this country. Hope that we can figure out a way sooner or later.

We expect a lot in our life.
We can never get all what we want.
Take a look at what you have
and be grateful that you are not the worst.

Whatever is destined to you in life, you would have it eventually.
Have hope and look forward.

So I just wait and see what is destined to me. But sometimes you would like to be the captain of your own destiny.

my friend, as a mum too, i can understand all of your feeling now. when our baby is little age, surely need a careful care. and in the preschoold, usually the time to be over is early , the time is not as same as a normal worker. so maybe some part-time job is suitable for your current status. both care your baby and do some work things. only a reference, hehe.

Thank you for your kind suggestions. I think I am a little too choosy about the work. Maybe, i should make some compromise.
