linda@crab: Halloween, stemmed from the the Celtic times is one traditional festival in western countries on 1st Nov. every year, people pay homage to the ghosts
Halloween, stemmed from the the Celtic times(虽然翻译为“ 塞尔特民族时期”,但是和原文“塞尔特民族的节日”在意思上还是有区别,应该是the festival celebrated by the Celtic ") is one traditional festival in western countries on 1st Nov. every year, people pay homage to the ghosts by food (“祭拜祖灵”是祭拜祖先的意思,所以不是ghost而是ancestor")for avoiding from evil threat and having one peacefully year("平安渡过严冬"是寒冷的冬天的意思,而且是11月份的节日,要把winter翻译出来呀~~). (PS,漏了好多哦~~),In the evening of Halloween, children will put on trappings, wear the masks, and ask for candles door to door from their neighborhoods. Halloween is popular in English-spwaking countries mainly in the Great British Islands and North America, then Australia and New Zealand

Nowadays, some young generation in some Asian countries are inclined to celebrate foreign festivals with high passion. before Halloween, some foreign-funded supermarkets will put Halloween's decorations specially. on the other hand, small retailers would take this chance to sell the Halloween-relevant toys or models for attracting young customers, (of cause for extra interest undoubtablelly)--这句话可以不加,翻译时要忠于原文 So, Let’s look forward to how Chinese people celebrate Halloween this year.
