Take it for granted?

My friends told me that he quarreled with his mother as he asked his mom to offer more pocket money, which he was so angry that he did not want to go home. I do not know what to say, should i go to comfort him that it doesn't matter that it was not your fault? If so, then it seems that his mother should take the responsibility for their argument, but i believe it was my friends fault. How could he ,the fruits of their parents' labor, what so offen he take for granted?

- Which mother would not give her son more pocket money if she can afford it? His mother could be struggling to survive. He don't know how hard life can be paying for his fees and pocket money. Tell him don't make his parents so disappointed. He owes his parents a lot.

- how dare he quarrels with his mother, he doesn' t behave as a man if he does. he should have a self-reflection, he should affort himself by doing some part time jobs,not just asking money from his mother. I feel lose face of this kind of person. when I was in college I did lot of part time jobs even my parents gave me enough money. I never waste any of it to went to the bar or something like that.
