Midwinter Day and Interview

After Midwinter day ,the day become shorter and night longer,it's a distinctive phenomenon in Jilin comparing with other southern cities.It's almost at 4 o'clock that it turns to dark.And when night coming ,it become chillier and chillier.the temperture could fall to below -20 C degree.now i, sit in office wearing my down coat, feel cold.
Midwinter day once was one of my favorate festivals.But in Jilin,People don't attach an importance on this traditional festival.they don't eat dumpling or Tangyuan or reunion family members to have a dinner.What's a pity for me that i was deprived of enjoying this festival.I still remember we had a wonderful dinner together last year.we had a dish of stewing dog meat,how delicious it was.I miss all of them very much .But now,It's terrible that nobady be with me to celerbity this year.I am just able to sigh that different place ,different people !
I was making daydream of the last year's big dinner while my mobile phone ringing ."Are you ***" "Yes,i am" "We are *** english training school ,we have received your resume and found you are suitable to our position ,could you please come to have an interview tonight before 8 pm ?" I halted a while and thought.maybe it's not a bad offer.therefore,i replied them "OK,i will be there on time ".
Worming myself into the mist,chilly and dark night ,i had gotten up a bus quickly .Soon,i had arrived at this training school.The president had given me a reception and maken a brief introduction on his school.this was a small-scaled privacy school and using pure English-teaching method, in which teachers and students were only allowed to speak in english.I liked this merit.After having a talk with president,i was arranged to take a test by a teacher here who had worked in England for many years as the president said.
Firstly ,she asked me to introduce myself in english.I did it without problems .and then ,we chatted a while.she spoke very fluent English with fast speed ,i almostly couldn't follow her.
Then,she let me know her lecture content, read a short passage.after this ,she asked me to explain this passage in english as she did.Well,I stucked ,but still finished them fully.she seemed satisfied with my explaintion.and priased me and said my spoken english was good. I was being very happy with her praise.Her words was really startling me and encouraging me.I knew my spoken english was far from good,but i did happy hearing that.
we ended of this interview with a happy conversation.
And the next day,the president called me and asked me whether accpet this offer or not.I refused politely.since this training school is a little bit far from where i live. I have to turn them down with sorry. But this interview was really encouraged me a lot.I ought to be confident whatever i do.

- With or without Midwinter dinner ( here, we eat lamb soap to celebrate, and its price went extremely high at that day), you had a wonderful day. Although this interview didn't work out in the end, you'd past the test and learned a lot---that really counts.
