It is inevitable that we will feel down at times. Even sometimes, we feel ourselves living in a hell. If this conditions last for weeks, we will ruin ourselves totally. I have read before that humans have the awesome ability to boost their mood with little daily actions, but many people don’t know which actions actually make them happy. Instead of simply wishing for happiness, make ourselves happier from now on.
I lists some ways which I have collected from some books, and hope that these methods will work:
1. Write down at least 3 things that we are thankful for
When we are writing down 3 things that we are grateful for each week will improve our mood and makes us feel more optimistic. Try doing this every Sunday night to boost our mood for the week ahead.Then at least , we will have a good start.
2. Look at the stars or seas
If we feel withdrawn and unhappy, look at the stars on a clear night or see seas in a clear day, this will help us forget sorrows and troubles, get temporal tranquil, then we may feel calm down, find ways to solve the problems we meet.
3. Spend time outside
Feeling stressed? Spend time outside –people will have lower levels of stress hormones after spending time outside.
4. Act like we’re happy (even if we’re not)
Fake it until we make itUC Riverside psychologists found that people who feel trapped be negative thoughts can benefit from just one positive thought, as it spurred them on to be more proactive in their search for happiness.
5. Meditate
If we feel unhappy, consider trying to sit still in a open air. Lots of studies have found that meditation can help to lessen feelings of depression and anxiety.
6. Listen to sad music
This may seem counter-intuitive, but many studies have found that listening to sad music is linked to increased happiness.
7. Go for a walk in nature
If we live near a forest or a wood, talk a walk for increased levels of happiness. A study published last year found that people who walked in nature for 90 minutes had fewer negative thoughts about themselves.
8. Learn a skill
Learning a new skill is great for our happiness levels; it occupies our mind and makes us more productive, and we will feel great when we have a new talent under our belt.
9. Drink tea with soft music
Drink tea while listening to soft music, this will help us to relax, then we may feel happy again.
