An old carpenter was going to retire, he said to his boss that he wanted to leave building industry, went home and enjoyed the family relationship with his wife and children.

The boss didn’t want to lose a good worker, asked if the carpenter can help with building a house once more. The carpenter said yes. But everybody could see that his heart didn’t put his heart on it. He used bad materials, did the work cursorily. When the house was finished, he boss gave the key of gate to him, said: It is your house, present for you.

The carpenter was shocked agape and felt too ashamed to show his face. If he knew he was building house for himself, what would he do? Now he had to living in a house manufactured in a rough way. Think about ourselves, do we do things in the same way? We “build” our lives unconcernedly, do things negatively but not actively, don’t keep improving, don’t try best at the key point. When we wake up to our status, we are already deep in the “house” we build. In case of the carpenter, think of your house, everyday you knock a nail in, put a board on, or erect a wall up, build it with your wisdom! Your living is your only creation in your life, can not push over or rebuild, even only one day to live, you are supposed to live elegantly and nobly. The stele on the wall: life is created by yourselfe!

It's a pity that the carpenter didn't take the work seriously enough .As a worker in building industry , responsiblity is especially important . Our good performance in work will give us a sense of achievement .

Interesting and enlightening story. Life and fate are held at our own hand. We couldn't account on others, but build my ourselves step by step, day by day
