Leave a gap to others(留个缺口给别人)

656 views. 2011-11-21 10:26

A famous entrepreneur was making a lecture, an audience asked: you made great success in your enterprise, my question is, what is the most important to you?

The entrepreneur didn’t answer directly, he took a chalk and drew a circle on blackboard, and it wasn’t a full circle but with a gap. He asked: What’s this? “Zero.” “Circle.” “Things unfinished.” ”Success.” The audience gabbled.

He didn’t respond but said: In fact, it is an unfinished full stop. You ask me why I can acquire outstanding achievement, the reason is very simple: I never do things fully, just like drawing a full stop, I will always leave a gap and let my underling to fill it.

Leaving a gap to others is not an indication of one’s lack of ability. Actually, it is a type of wisdom of management, a higher level of consummation with a whole vision.

What we can learn: give a tree to monkey and let them climb ceaselessly; give a mountain to tiger and let them run freely.
