A farmer, only been to junior high school for two years, had to discontinue his studying because his family was unable to bear the cost. He helped his father with farm work after quitted school. When he was 19, his father passed away, he had to take on all the family load, and had to take care of his unwell mother as well as paralysis grandmother in bed.

In 1980s, farms were contracted to individuals. He changed a loblolly to a fishpond and wanted to breed fish. But the village cadre told him: you can not breed fish in paddy field, it only suits plant. He had no choice but to fill the loblolly again and this case became a joke. In others’ eyes, he was a stupid man but wanted to make a pile.

He heard that breeding chicken could own good money, he borrowed 500 Yuan from his relatives and began with breeding chicken. But after a flood, chicken got roup and all died in a few days. Maybe 500 Yuan was nothing to others, but to a man who made a living by farming it was really a number couldn’t image. His mother couldn’t bear the stimulation and died of cafard.

In the after years, he once brewed wine, caught fish, and even dug embrasure on the cliff of rock mine, but never owned money.

When he was 35 years old, he was still not married. Even those divorced women with children looked down upon him. All he held was a dust house which would break down at any moment after a heavy rain. Man who was unable to get a wife would be looked down upon by others in country.

But he wanted to try again, he borrowed money all around and bought a tractor. Out of his expect, less than half a month, he drove the tractor into a river. He broke one leg and became a gimp. The tractor, was fragmented when been dragged. He had to dismantle it and sold it as scrap iron.

Almost everyone thought his life was over.

But afterward, he became a boss of a company in the city I was living, his asset was over two hundred million. Now, many people know his distressful past and legendary experience of business, a lot of media interviewed him, a lot of reportage describe him, and one plot impressed me:

Reporter asked him: in the distressful days, which made you try again and again and never flinch?
