Confirmed in order

Hot 41015 views. 2015-1-10 23:34

Yesterday I received my customer reply email about confirming the shipping documents. He just said " Confirmed in order. Tks." So I understood he confirmed the documents already. I told to my boss about this, and he also read this email. But he wonder if the customer confirmed about the new sales contract, because we made a new sales contract for this customer but no confirmation received. So my boss asked me to reply the email to clarify this point. Today, We received the reply, yes, it just confirmed the shipping documents. I was right. But I didn't have the fully confidence. I guess the customer must think my English is very poor.

When it comes to business, it needs to be very careful. Your English can be better after communicating with foreign clients for months, and I think years later, you learn a lot, because it is a practical use when you write emails and make inquiries, and finally make the deal, all of these procedures you are doing is in English, and then you find you make a big leap and achieve something great.

We always come across customers using tricky words to confuse us and take advantage. You have done the right thing by clarifying from the customer.

If you did not clarify, then later he can say, I already wrote ''confirmed'' and the word ''order'' and committed you on a pending order.

Writing clear emails and letters are very important in commercial correspondence. Write point by point clearly and make it easy for your customer to reply to your points.
