It's very funny to talk about religion with my friends. As far as i know, my black friends i known all believe in Christian. Of course some of their black people are Catholics.
I can remember the scene when we argue over this matter. First, i said that i was a free man, same with many Chinese, donot believe in God, nor believe in hell. If i haven't done something wrong, i afraid of nothing. Every person's life is mastered in his own hand. And i'm the God of myself. Then my black friend asked me,' can you youself give birth to a baby', i answered like' one person cannot give birth to a baby, it needs two people.' Then he said to me" yeah, this is the point of the question, how can you say you are the God of yourself, you can't give birth to a baby yourself, it is God send a man to you and you two have a baby, ok?" I was speechless at that moment. Their belife was so deepgoing. No wonder they no fear difficulties to come to China to do business, they have God in their heart and they believe that their powerful God will bless them.
Then he began to talk about our Buddhism. He said Chinese people were very funny, they bought fruits and incenses to their Buddha, the Buddha was not the real God, it was just an idol. Then i told him that it was ok, different people have different religion belief, Buddhism was one of the three major religions. These religion tell us people to do good things and do not do bad things.
In fact, Chinese people are clever about this. We think that, foreigners are controlled by the religion, all the people is the son of God, you should listen to the God, but our Chinese people are taking advantage of religion, especially our rulers use it to serve his governing. Later, one of my black friend asked me if i had read Bible, i said i knew a little about it, once our teacher had read a small part for us in the class. Then he said he'd like to bring one for me to read it all. Frankly speaking, i donot want it, because i know it will take me lots of time to finish reading it. However his serious attitude was hard to refuse, and today he really brought me a Chinese version Bible, OMG, from today on, i have to read it. But i think it is no problom to me, i will take it as a fiction, surely i will try to understand and study the meaning of it.

- Loly, I envy you that you can talk with foreigner in English everyday. how I wish I can do the same like you. But, I always feel it is difficult to listen clearly what they said. I prefer to listen our Chinese speak English, because I can completely understand what Chinese said. hehe, huge tragedy...

At the beginning, i cannot hear clearly what they said, i also cannot understand what they mean. Even i thought their English is very bad. I think it needs time to get used to talk with them. Remember that, English is more easy for us to say, just donot treat it hard, open you mouth and speak it out. We just lack of the language environment. When all the people around you speak English, after some time, you can speak it well. Anyway, foundation is the most important point. English TV show and movie is good for listening.
