Poor rich guys
Due to my family ancestor's blessing, one of my grandfather's brother was join the army and then became a high official working in railways bureau in Tianjin. When i was a child, they came back home from Tianjin to visit us poor relatives on one Chinese new year. I remembered that more than six children including me knelt to him at that moment, each of us got three hundred yuan red packet from him. A few years ago, they came back to see us again, together with his wife's nephew who was growing in the big city and studied in Japan. They said that he had never seen farmland and even didn't know how do grain grow in the farm.
This let me think of a poor Chinese emperor in our history. At that moment, there had a famine all over the country, many people died of hunger, due to lacking of rice. When that little emperor heard about it, he wondered" Since people have no rice to eat, why they don't eat meat?". What an absurd question? As to such a fatuous and stupid emperor, how can his kingdom not be destroyed? For such naive guys grow without sufferings, how can they know and understand the pains of farmers and poors, how can his country not be overthrew? How can we except such stupid guys manage and run the country well, and how can we wish them to plan a beautiful future for the whole people? Hard to imagin that!
It's not a good thing to let children be overprotected, it's not good for parents to build a smooth life for their children. The more we experience, the better we see the world and understand the life. Only the person who knows other people's sufferings and pains can he have compassion and solicitude for the suffering people.
It's a dangerous thing to stay in a comfortable position and state. One's luck to grow with pains, living like a average person is a blessing to you. It's not a meaningful one that you life is so smooth without ups and downs, obstacles and setbacks. Too much success is not a good thing though every person wants it, not real.
At last, if you have time, go to study Bible,not just read, to research it, any problem or trouble and question, you can find answers inside it. God loves child who keep learning and asking questions.

- It has been nearly a year since I helped anyone with English on this site, but I've decided to be more active again. I'm a professional writer and editor as well as a botanist and ecologist. I read blogs here that interest me, and your story caught my eye.

. . . moment, famine plagued the entire country and many people died of hunger because of the lack (or shortage) of rice . . . naive guys growing up without sufferings, . . . pains of farmers and poor people? How can his country not be overthrown? . . . and how can we hope they are able to plan for a beautiful future for the entire country's people? It is hard to imagine that!

. . . position and state of being. A person is lucky to grow up with pain and difficulty, living like an average person. . . wants it, not reality.
At last, Bible, and don't just read it, research it, any problem or trouble and question, you can find answers inside it. God loves child who keep learning and asking questions.
Note: I found your story very good and interesting. In the US, most people no longer live in the countryside. One young man was worried that the lions and tigers would eat him in my area. But there are NO wild lions and tigers anywhere in the North American continent and never have been!

Yes, they are the really stupid guys. A humble person never look down on poor and they always have mercy for suffering people.
