What i learn English for

My reason for learning English as follows;
1. I want to continue learning it since i haven't master and control this language totally. I can hear a little, speak a littel, read a little, write a little, but that is not good enough, i know that. If you make up your mind to learn something well, you should learn it everyday. Everything is possible, just don't give up easily. If we work hard, we can grind an iron rod into a needle. As for English, we should learn it everyday from all aspects.
2. With the globalization of economy and development of the society, it is demanded by the times and situations. To be frank, it is a basic skill when you want to search a job and work in a good company.
3. It makes me happy and i'm interested in this language. It's good for us to learn something. And now i take it as my hobby. I really like it. It's known to all that learning is a happy thing while a painful thing. If you never have experienced such feelings, it means you haven't devoted yourself to it. I wish i could have fun learning it and make progress as well.
4. As an International language, if you can speak English well, you can communicate with English speaker from any other country. Come on, English is very easy to speak, it is not like Chinese, our Chinese is one of the most difficult language in the world. Just forget about standard pronunciation, open your month and say it, express yourself in a free and relaxed way. Like our mother tongue and local language, if you can make yourself understood, then you are ok to speak it.
5. Ok, forget about communicating with foreigners, if you can learn English well, you can help your future children learn it. What a beautiful thing! Besides, if we can master one foreign language, it can help us avoid suffering from alzheimer's disease when we grow old. How nice!
I think the moment i can understand Obama's speech without noticing the words in the TV and enjoying the English movie without watching the translation, i would think i'm really doing a good job. Now you can see that, i'm not doing well, but i'm happy that i'm on the way. Although i need to study it through my whole life, i will never give up learning, like never give up my life. I said it, just keep going, never too old to learn, later better than never. No matter how boring and difficult it will be, I accept this challenge. Learn it according to my method, cheers!

- I have watched you all along. You started out with simple basic English, then later you used interesting topics and started to fit in useful words learnt from the past and from other blogs here. There are some negligible mistakes but it did not affect your ability to write well understood blogs. You even managed to be funny and contributed some entertaining jokes. Haha.. just look at you translating the Chinese sayings so accurately.... "grind an iron rod into a needle". Wonderful!
Yes, English is definitely an important and useful language. It is spoken worldwide and used in most of the important scientific research papers. Even Chinese leaders demanded Chinese students to learn English properly.
The English you learnt would stay with you for your whole life and you would have confidence knowing that you can understand and write English readily. You would find you can use your English in many areas and in future career. This could be your most valuable asset.

- aha, loly, I always want to write a such kind of diary, but for some reason, it has been delayed. Now, you have written it out, I think you had already written out all I want to write. what you said is very reasonable, but I want to emphasis that with the globalization of economy and the rise of international status of China, our Chinese has become more and more important and universal even though it`s very hard to learn by contrast with English. So, I have a concept in my mind, I will never let my English level better than my Chinese.(just my personal point of view) haha, anyway, I am far away from learning English well. But, the thing is, sometimes I can`t write our Chinese word right, alas!!!
My orginal main purpose of learning English is to do foreign business with my cousin, but now, as is known to all, the foreign trade is in "severe winter" , especially in my cousin`s industry. But now, as I go further on English study, I find that learning English is not learning a language but a kind of exotic culture, I have to admit that we Chinese people, in some ways, must have to learn from European...Therefore,I will continue learning English even though I can`t go abroad or do foreign trade...haha, seemly what I said is very verbose, I`m sorry Loly!! forgive my nonsense and verbiage...
Actually, back on track, Loly,you really have mastered so many Chinese proverb. I want to know how can you master so many Chinese proverb? I`ll follow the lead of your learning method. I need to recite some proverbs.haha...
you will be an expert in English if you keep learning with your method in a few years later,maybe one day you will be an excellent Chinese teacher in USA with high salary.aha...

And, whatever, we should learn both our Chinese and English well.
And you know, our own Chinese culture is really amazing and limitless. I just know a little about it. They are simple but meaningful and easy to keep in mind. And i wish i could master this language, working and living in China is good enough for me, i have no far plan at present, hehe. Just cherish what i have and keep going.

I think your English is much better than me, really. I read you guys' English blogs, write my English blog, watch English movies and TV programmes and listen to English songs, that's all, hehe, nothing new.
