When I went to my colleague to discuss a technical issue, hearing footstep behind, he changed the content of his display quickly. Though his action was quick, I couldn’t see the content clearly, I thought he must be doing things unrelated with work. That was my instinct and I was sure the director would have the same instinct too. There is an idiom that the more what you try to hide, the more it exposed. That was why he had been scolded by the director for several times. I was never scolded by the director for this kind of thing, why? I admit I wasn’t a model worker either. Sometimes, when I was tired, I just did things unrelated with work to amuse myself too. I had three powerful weapons so that the director never discovered what I was doing. No.1: I never allowed my display to display picture. Picture was so intuitionistic and the director would discover what I was doing far away. No.2: I never read Chinese writings. Chinese character is pictograph. I could see the main meaning of Chinese writing by just the first glance. No.3: I never changed the content of my display even the director just talked with me nearby. He didn’t pay attention to it because I didn’t do the action to change the content suspiciously. What’s more, he was embarrassed to check the content closely and carefully. With these three weapons, I was never caught by the director reading unrelated things about work. Maybe I was a little selfish, because I never told other colleagues. If everyone knew it, the three weapons would be of no use.
