I have to admit that I like reading, though sometimes I am distracted just by other things, I always like reading. I also find there’re so many books all over the world, even though I can read a book per ten minutes for one hundred years without sleep, the total number of which is only 5,256,000 and just one sixth of the number of books in the Library of Congress, saying nothing of other books in other places. So what are we going to do? Reading books according to the sequence of bookcase? No. Simply read none of them, because anyhow, you can’t finish them all your life? No. We should read book like panning gold. The books all over the world just like sand, from which you can find gold. Even the gold you find, you need purification of it. You need your own brain to judge which is gold and which is sand. Before you read, you must have an independent brain at first. I always like people who have their own independent brains. Now I find out why I like cat better than dog, because cat is always independent and rarely following you everywhere.
